Camping!!!

Our annual overnight camping trip will kick off Sunday May 29th , leaving from the church at 1:30 with a planned return time of Monday, May 30th by 6pm. We will spend Sunday afternoon through Monday morning at Washington Monument State Park near Boonsboro, Maryland and take a day hike in the nearby mountains on Monday. Rest rooms are available on the premises. All food will be provided (campers are asked to bring $7 to cover food costs) but some tent capacity may be needed (please indicate on the sign-up sheet whether you can bring a tent and how many people it will fit.) All campers should bring the following: a sleeping bag or suitable sleeping blankets, flashlight and warm clothing for the evening, mess kit (plate, cup, utensils) water bottle and sturdy shoes for the hike, necessary toiletries (toothbrush, towel), insect repellant and sunscreen, an extra change of clothes. Time for Golf!

This Sunday we'll be playing mini golf at nearby Jefferson District Park. Cost is $4 per person. Please meet at the church at 1:30. We plan to return by 4:30.

Round Two! Great Fallls, Maryland

Get your comfortable shoes and water bottle ready. This Sunday we'll be visiting the Billy Goat Trail at Great Falls, Maryland. This is a four mile hike.

Mark your calendars for the Pioneers Campout which will be on Sunday, May 29th! Look for more information here and in the information hall at church. We'll be staying at Washington Monument State Park in Boonsboro, Maryland.

We're going to try Great Falls, Virginia again for Round One (part 2) of the Battle of the Falls. In the event of a government shut-down, we'll go to Riverbend Park instead, which is right next door.

Round one in the battle of the falls was called on a technical knock out. Seems mother nature beat us to the punch! See you on April 10th when, hopefully, spring will have really arrived!

Movie Madness!

Join us in the sanctuary this Sunday at 2:00 for a matinee. Bring your pillow or something comfy to sit on. Popcorn will be provided.

Pioneers will be visiting the National Aquarium in Washington, DC this Sunday, February 6th. The first aquarium in the United States is home to more than 250 species. Invite a friend and we’ll meet in the school hallway at 1:30. We will return to Grace by 4:30. Any questions?
